Marlene took a group of 8 students to make potato wedges.
They had to dig the potatoes, wash them, cook them and then we all got to eat them!!
The children enjoyed this activity and I overheard some of the comments made "Wow - making these is so cheap!" "I didn't know that potatoes come from the ground" and "SOOOOOO EASY TO MAKE I AM GOING TO SHOW MUM!"
When the wedges were cooked the group got to share them with both the year two classes.
They tasted yummy.
Sounds yum. I wonder what other vegetables Marlene might be able to dig up out of the garden and what can be made with them?
